Dr David Gibney

Dr David Gibney grew up in Glasnevin. He studied medicine in Trinity College and qualified in 1984. After his initial medical training, he worked in Australia and England before returning to Ireland to work as a GP. He joined Ballymun Family Practice in 2000. He has been a GP trainer since 2006. He has a special interest in family planning and has done promotional work for the crisis pregnancy agency. He is also interested in addiction medicine and in tackling health inequality. He has liaised with community groups over the years. He is currently the GP lead for the area which involves working with the HSE on developing local services.
