Ballymun GP is made up of two separate GP practices working from a shared space. The Drs Jennings, Ní Sheaghdha and Hopkins practice was founded by Dr Tara Conlon and the late Dr Fiona Bradley in 1996. Dr David Gibney, who has recently retired, was a central part of growing this practice and is greatly missed. The other practice under Dr Niall Hurley was founded by Dr Bríd Hollywood in 1998. Both of these practices are located upstairs in the Civic Centre.

We are dedicated to listening to you, discussing your physical and mental concerns in an honest and open fashion. We will provide you with up to date, evidence-based medical advice to make informed choices when it comes to managing your health.

For many years our practice has been involved in the education of medical students and students may visit the practice to observe consultations as part of their curriculum.  We always advise patients in advance if a student is present and will only invite a student to observe your consultation with your full permission.

The practice is also a training practice for specialist trainees in general practice from the Irish College of General Practitioners training scheme. These trainees are qualified experienced doctors and are undertaking further experience and training in general practice. They remain in the practice from periods of 6 months to 1 year.
